THE STOLEN CHILD: ANIMATING POETRY
HOME: Welcome
THE PROJECT
This 2D animation project, completed over the course of one academic school year explores the artist's Irish heritage and tradition, particularly in terms of the Irish faery. It combines nineteenth century Irish poetry and modern day animation to tell the story of a child, stolen away by the faeries, and functions as an allegory for the loss of innocence.
HOME: About My Project
“Come away, O human child,
To the waters and the wild,
With a faery hand in hand.
For the world’s more full of weeping,
Than you can understand.”
William Butler Yeats
